December

December

Kate's last soccer game was the first weekend of December.  After the game they got their awards.  It is always fun to watch her play, but by the end of the season I am ready to have my Saturday's back!

We got another team picture.  This time all the girls were there.

The second weekend of December we went up north to cut our Christmas tree.  It was actually very warm and no snow.  Bummer.  But we found a great tree.

The next Monday night, we decorated the tree

This year we adopted Elf on the Shelf.  The kids named him Jack.  They loved finding him every morning.  He was well behaved for awhile, then got a little mischevious.  Here are a few places they found him.

Kate and I went with some friends to see The Forgotten Carols at Gammage.  This is our second year going.  It is fun to have a night out with her.

Every year we get together and decorate Grandma Hall's tree.

The annual Adult Standage Christmas Dinner.  This year we had it at Tia Rosa's.  It was nice to have Stuart and Jamie back!  And it was Kelsey's first time to join.  But we missed Kevin who had to work  and Jason who was in Utah.

Trying to get the kids to cooperate for a picture the Sunday before Christmas.  Wyatt has his "do I have to" face on.

We spent Christmas Eve at Tracy's house.  We had a nice dinner than let the kids open a "present".  It really is no surprise to them.  Pajamas every year....
Tracy actually got her kids some fun Kid History saying shirts.

Christmas!

We didn't put his snakebite under the tree because it was too obvious what it was.  It was the only thing he talked about getting for Christmas.  We wrapped up a note and he found it in the basement

They both literally ripped the cardboard box into pieces to get it out!  I think its so funny that he is wearing his hat backwards.

Kate got her American Girl Doll.  We designed it to look like her.  She even came with pierced ears and glasses.

Off to the Standages with ALL the cousins this year!

The BIG 7 year olds!

Best Buddies- so happy to be together again!

Because of my love for Duck Dynasty, dad gave me a duck call and a coon skin hat!

Aunt Carrie's birthday is right after Chritmas.  We all met for dinner at Buca di Beppo's.

We went out and got ourself a new Christmas present too!  Traded in our old one for this toy hauler.

Then its time to celebrate New Years Eve!  Happy New Year!
We had everyone over for dinner and games.  We had a mexican feast and I made tamales!  A friend at work taught me how and they turned out so good!

We played games until it was time for fireworks.

This is only a portion of Chris's stash!

It was such a cold night too!  We were freezing!
