House projects

 

So here are a few projects we have been working on these last couple months.  The slab of cement in the sidewalk had sunk a few inches and Chris wanted to repour it.  He also eanted to move some of the plumbing work too.  (The missionaries actually came by asking Chris if he had any service work they could do for us, so he had them rip out the cement!)  Anyway, as we got the cement up, we noticed that underneath the slab in front of the door, all the dirt had eroded away leaving a huge gap and hole underneath that side walk.  So,  not only did we have to pour a new slab, as you can see in the following picture, Chris had to shove cement under the sidewalk in front of the door.  It took about 8 bags of cement just for that!

 

 

All done.

 

This little section got started.  That cement slab is for the flag pole.  We had to dig down about five feet and fill with cement.  Flagpole project is still to come.  Chris is making it.....or will be making it.

 

We also are adding a little storage room in the basement.
